He spins a top…
The hero is an expert in tapping into dreams, creating realistic dream scenarios
for people to interact with
& then joining that dream to retrieve hidden subconscious information
Within those dreams you can sleep and go deeper into another dream within a dream…
Creating deeper and deeper levels, each level experiencing a different reality
a different version of the world and a different perception of time and space,
the deeper levels experiencing minutes as hours,
as you go deeper time stretches further still, as years pass in hours…
The architects design mazes and loops, paradoxical structures,
Escheresque staircases and labyrinths twist…
As the constructs become more complex and richer,
they start to become more alluring than reality,
You can live in the past and replay memories,
live out entire lives surrounded by constructs
while all the time asleep.
The hero yearns to return to reality, to the life he should have been living
The top is still. spinning…
Hi, Here’s one of the videos I recorded recently.
The videos show some quick and easy techniques, to help reduce stress & increase relaxation. In this video, I show you some ways to change the way you talk to yourself,
as one way of getting really stressed about situations, is to go over and over them,
kicking yourself about what you could or should have said, ( cos it wasn’t bad enough the first time, you have to relive it, right?) or maybe just giving yourself crap, nagging and criticising yourself, or the classic worrying about what you’ve got to do the next day, or some time in the future. (cos that always really helps you feel good!)
Anyway, I’m not suggesting that watching this video alone will stop you ever talking negatively to yourself, or that one quick technique will solve every problem…
But, if you practice the technique and play around with it, it can help you start to run your own brain and take control of your own thought processes and feelings.
Warning: it does involve using your imagination and maybe even feeling a bit silly.
However, since most of what we do to make ourselves feel crap is in our own heads,
we may as well use that same powerful imagination to feel good.
I recently recorded a series of short videos, with easy to follow techniques to help
reduce stress and relax quickly. I’m going to post the videos here together with some
simple instructions and tips to help you get the most out of the videos.
As this was the first time I’d recorded any video, (unless pulling faces when someone points a mobile phone at you after a night in the pub counts) I spent quite a bit of time staring blankly into the lens of the camera. The red HAL like recording light staring back unblinking…”I don’t think that’s a good idea Steve”…
My first few attempts went something like “Hi, in this video “I’m going to be showing you #@!!!X Ahhh” Click. Once I regained the power of speech & managed to get coherent sentences out, I played back the short clips…
Only to realise that I seem to pull quite a lot of funny faces when I’m thinking,
not to mention gesticulating wildly when making a point & generally fidgeting around.
Did you ever record yourself talking, even just on an answerphone message?
I don’t sound like that! Cos your voice sounds different in your head, right?
Well, apparently that is what I look like & sound like on the outside.
I’ve decided I must have an expressive face… or something.
Anyway…
I got over feeling a bit self conscious and remembered to laugh at myself, relax
and get on with it!
The videos are all very short, just a couple of minutes long and show some simple techniques to help reduce feelings of anxiety and stress. The exercises are very straightforward and are designed to be easy to follow.
They’re the kinda things you can practice regularly and get into the habit of being relaxed…
Just remember to not take them or yourself too seriously.
